Many people are confused as to how much air to put in their tires. Over or under inflation of your tires can cause damage to the tire. There is a tire rating located on the side wall of the tires and also one usually found on the vehicle's driver side door jam , glove box or owner's manual. A good rule of thumb is to inflate your tires according to your vehicle specifications unless it is greater than the maximum psi on your tires. If it is greater, then inflate your tires according to the maximum psi listed on the side wall of your tires.
